Red Headed Book Lover Review of Sessions - 5 Stars!

Would you sacrifice your soul to see into the mind of a serial killer for seven days? Justice will be served, but never before like this. Sessions, a mind-bending psychological noir, delves into the minds of two women as they go head-to-head in seven therapy sessions, taking the terms “treatment” and “killer” and flipping them on their heads. Is there a real life family connection to the killer’s evil?
And if she has never been caught, is there someone infamous in her life who has? The “Entity” marks its territory through the pastoral environs of Vermont; Mount Mansfield, a Burlington art gallery, a sugar maple farm and inside the psychiatrist’s office, housed within a majestic Victorian mansion eerily familiar to more than one soul. This is not a police procedural, my friends…

Sessions is a novel I was destined to read and love thanks to its thrilling and exciting themes that make for a perfect, unforgettable story. Psychological thrillers have to be my most favorite genre of all …

Red Headed Book Lover Review of Eighteen Minutes to the Beast - 5 Stars!

Eighteen Minutes to the Beast, B.J. Thompson

Two audio techs have solved the eighteen minute gap on Nixon Watergate Tape 342.
A Beast that slithers through the streets and halls of Washington DC wants to kill the truth, and two techs want to survive to Tell-All.
Who will get to the Finish-Line first?
The knowledge Ed and Harry possess traps them in a covert world, involving operations as far west as Nixon’s La Casa Pacifica in San Clemente, California, and as far east as the Virginia CIA Training Facility at Camp Peary, along the way finding themselves buried alive in a Deep Underground Military Base, meeting men of fame and fortune thought long since dead.
Will the men live long enough to reveal the verbatim Transcript of Tape 342 at the global Press Conference scheduled at The Washington Post?
And if they do, what affect will it have on the survival of the Republic and the American People when such unthinkable secrets are unearthed?
The world will hear those words.
Lives will be sacrificed.
The Beast breathes for the very first time.

Eighteen Minutes to the Beast is a thrilling, exciting, action-packed novel that will have its readers turning the pages with haste into the early hours of the morning. As I began to read Eighteen Minutes to the Beast, I immediately knew that this was going to be a fast-paced action adventure with political intrigue, and now that I have finished the novel I can happily write that the book is just this! It is an intriguing political/fantasy thriller that captivated me with its heart-pounding moments and phenomenal literature courtesy of author B.J. Thompson. If you are a reader who loves being taken on a journey that is full of shocking moments that are memorable as well as astounding, then you will love Eighteen Minutes to the Beast so do not miss out! If you need more convincing, then please continue to read my review to learn more about the stellar novel!

Eighteen Minutes to the Beast is a unique novel thanks to the combination of themes and will take the reader on an incredible journey. The reader will be introduced to two audio technicians who have solved the infamous ‘eighteen-minute gap on the Nixon Watergate Tape 342’. What is solved is shocking and has the potential to cause chaos. However, that is the least of their worries for now as a beast is looking for them and wants to kill them before they reach the global press conference to release the hidden part to the tape. What follows is a thrilling and compelling journey that will entertain readers for hours.

The story of Eighteen Minutes to the Beast is a stellar one that had me intrigued from the very start. I love any story with a political theme, so I knew from the beginning that Eighteen Minutes to the Beast would deliver thanks to this theme and wow did it! From the start the reader is immediately thrust into the thick of the story, the reader will feel as if their breath has been knocked out of them by how fast the reader is pushed into the thick of the plot. I personally love this approach with a novel, especially if it is an action/mystery based one; what is the point in waiting for the action to start? None in my opinion so that is why I love how the excellent author B.J. Thompson decided to throw her readers into the story; it made for an exhilarating read, one that I would recommend to all of you lovely readers!

Eighteen Minutes to the Beast captured my attention immediately thanks to the fast-paced story, enigmatic characters, and thrilling plot. As I read Eighteen Minutes to the Beast I was honestly in awe; it was like a present was being unwrapped before my eyes and the more the pages turned, the more excited I got for the finale.

B.J. Thompson is a newly discovered author of mine, and I have to confess book lovers that I am kicking myself for not having found Thompson’s work sooner! I am frustrated that I have not before because never before have I been so entertained with a political/ fantasy novel! To write a good novel the reader needs to be fully immersed in the story and feel as if they are experiencing the same events as the protagonist(s) and Thompson manages to accomplish this with her writing in Eighteen Minutes to the Beast, so Thompson is most certainly worthy of an abundance of praise.

Not only is Thompson an outstanding writer for her ability to thrust her readers into the thick of the story, but she also is because she was able to describe all of the events that unravel perfectly. Every event and moment and even place is flawlessly described with a wealth of detail which in turn keeps the reader turning the pages.

Overall Eighteen Minutes to the Beast is a gripping novel that is guaranteed to keep readers entertained for hours on end so I, of course, have to award the story five stars! Be sure to have a read of the preview below book lovers and be sure to keep an eye out for my spotlight for the author which will be live soon!
